As we go through different phases of life, our style, whether it be clothing, hair, or accessories, tends to change and evolve. What we once wore with confidence may not align with who we are today. For some people, it’s a subtle progression, while for others, it’s a more dramatic transformation. Let’s take a trip down memory lane and explore the evolution of my personal style throughout the years.

Childhood

As a child, I didn’t have any say in what I wore. My mom picked out my clothes, and I had to wear whatever she deemed appropriate. Mostly, I remember wearing dresses with puffy sleeves and cute prints. I didn’t think much of it at the time, but now when I look back, I realize how much my style has changed.

Teenage Years

The teenage years were a time of experimentation and figuring out who I was. During this time, I experimented with different styles, ranging from bright and bold prints to an all-black wardrobe. However, I went through a phase where I wore a lot of oversized t-shirts with witty quotes and paired them with baggy jeans. This style was very influenced by the pop-punk music scene at the time.

College Years

When I started college, I wanted to start over with a new style. In retrospect, I realize that my motivation was to create a new image to match my change in environment. I started to wear blazers and trousers, dressed in more business casual attire. It made me feel more mature and sophisticated.

Late Twenties

Now that I am in my late twenties, my style has become more refined, and I am focused on incorporating more timeless pieces into my wardrobe. I have realized that having a capsule wardrobe comprised of neutral colors and classic pieces is important to me. I wear a lot of tailored clothing, including trench coats, blazers, and pencil skirts, as I feel confident and professional in them.

Conclusion

My personal style has gone through various transformations in my life in response to my changing environment and personal growth. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized how important it is to have a style that reflects who I am and makes me feel confident and comfortable. I continue to experiment with different styles and trends, but I know now that it’s crucial to stay true to myself. I am excited to see how my style continues to evolve in the years to come.
