The education sector in India has been witnessing significant reforms in recent years. The state government of Madhya Pradesh has been taking commendable steps towards transforming the education system, introducing various reforms to improve the quality of education in the state. In this article, we will discuss the educational reforms introduced by MP Education Minister Vishwas Sarang, and the impact they have had on the system.
One of the crucial steps taken by Minister Sarang was the introduction of the ‘DigiLEP’ program, which stands for Digital Learning Enhancement Programme. This program aims to provide digital infrastructure to government schools across the state, ensuring that students have access to quality education, irrespective of their location. Under this program, 1.8 lakh LED screens have been installed in classrooms, along with digital textbooks and e-learning content. This has significantly improved the quality of education, by making learning more interactive and engaging.
Another significant reform introduced by Minister Sarang was the ‘Padhai Tuhar Para’ scheme, which aims to provide quality education to children in remote and rural areas. This scheme involves appointing local teachers who are trained to teach in their native language, ensuring that students have access to quality education in their mother tongue. This has not only helped in preserving the local culture and language but has also improved the quality of education and reduced the dropout rate.
To address the issue of teacher shortage in government schools, Minister Sarang launched the ‘Shikshak Sanchay Yojna,’ wherein school alumni are encouraged to take up teaching jobs in their respective schools. This has helped in improving the teacher-student ratio, and also in providing quality education from experienced teachers who are familiar with the local culture and language.
Apart from these, Minister Sarang introduced several other reforms, such as the ‘Hamari Shala Kaisi Ho’ campaign, which involved conducting inspections and audits of government schools to improve facilities and infrastructure. He also launched the ‘Chalo Chalein Abhiyan’, which aims to improve the transportation facilities for students, enabling them to attend school regularly.
In conclusion, the educational reforms introduced by MP Education Minister Vishwas Sarang have significantly transformed the education system in the state. These reforms have not only improved the quality of education but also helped in addressing various issues such as teacher shortage, student dropout rate, and language barrier. These initiatives have set an example for other states to follow, ensuring that every child has access to quality education irrespective of their background.
