Mental health conditions are widespread across the globe, and we need to talk about it. In this article, we will discuss some of the mental health statistics in 2021 and why we need to talk about them.

Depression and anxiety disorders are the leading mental health conditions globally. Globally, more than 300 million people experience depression, while about 264 million people have anxiety. Depression and anxiety can significantly affect productivity, physical health and lead to suicide if left untreated.

Additionally, we need to recognise that talking about mental health is just as important as other aspects of our health. By promoting dialogue and reducing the stigma around mental health, together, we will be able to create a world that is more supportive and caring.
